did you know...

Satan isn't omnipresent. Meaning, he's not like God, who is everywhere all the time. Nope, Satan is pretty limited. I only learnt this recently, which is sad, but i guess it's because I always dismissed Satan from my mind (I used to be scared of him).

After a while that statement got me thinking, "So, a lot of the time, it must be me who's responsible for my sin & mistakes right?".
Right. We tend to blame everything on Satan, which is true, after all he is quite responsible for you know, the Fall of Man. But look at it through this context. If Satan isn't constantly around you all the time, then we, the flesh, have a lot to do with our mistakes. Sometimes we'll go out and be exposed to say, 'naked women' and we'd cover our eyes and be like "It's the attack of Satan blah blah blah he's tempting me" ... but dude, you're in a strip club. What do you make of that? Have you ever found yourself in that position?

We, the flesh, lead ourselves into impossibly tempting circumstances and when we crack we simply push the blame onto someone else. We declare that we are sanctified and holy when really, we're just like the world. Are you set apart? Where you go, what you do, who you're with and who you are are strong influences of making mistakes ... duh! We're born with that stamped on our bottoms.

So why is it so hard to walk up the righteous road? Ahh, because it's difficult, but dang nammit is it worth it!

People are Strange

People are strange,
I cannot understand them.
I had a sweetheart
Who seemed to love me.
I gave her roses, sweets, gems.
I gave her all I had, my heart -
And she broke it.
I cannot forgive her.

God had a world
That should have loved Him.
He gave it beauty, light, and life.
He gave it all He had, His Son,
And it crucified Him.

People are strange,
I cannot understand them.
But God -
He loved them.
